Silk is a wonderful alternative to wool, especially if you live in a warm climate or have allergy problems. This versatile fiber is very strong and surprisingly warm considering its light weight. Although I love to spin silk, lately I have been using tussah sliver to make silk fusion. Also known as silk paper, this is a flexible fabric created with fiber and acrylic fabric medium.
